I paint because I am moved to. Art allows me to process my inner most thoughts and feelings. It is what connects me back to myself while simultaneously creating bonds to the outside world. Art is the rawest form of expression I know. It is what tears me apart and puts me back together all at once.
Growing up in Washington, I was surrounded by evergreen nature and abundant creativity. My parents were both school educators and talented artists who encouraged me to pursue my passions from a young age. In 2022 I decided to take a chance on myself and enter artist life full-time. My environment supplies endless rare beauty that heavily inspires the organic natural elements in my work. Portrayed throughout my work are lush colors amidst the merging of human form and flora. Although my focus is mainly commissions and personal pieces, I have a passion for teaching and have been instructing art since 2009.
